His:  Magret de canard (duck breast), creme fraiche, quince jelly, hollandaise sauce, bacon, cookies, cheese, San Pellegrino, plastic bag.

Hers:  zucchini, nectarines, rice cakes, anchovies, lettuce, coeur de boeuf tomatoes, chocolate, baguette, shallots, reusable canvas bag.

Gourmand, meet granola.

Although our eating preferences are not always compatible, together, we have the power to fill the fridge.

    Sounds like a good match. Unfortunately for my health, if me and the boy go shopping our bags will both more strongly resemble his than hers..

    Exactly, Cynthia. Even though our shopping bags are opposite, I can never resist what he whips up in the kitchen. (partially because everything he makes is covered in cheese)

    Thanks for reading, Anna. Dinnertime is always interesting chez nous. I always need to encourage vegetables and colors. I’m from the Midwest, but I married someone even more enamored with meat and potatoes.

    All sounds delicious to me…especially the coeur de boeuf tomatoes. I forsee several great meals from the contents of these two shopping bags. And remember: opposites attract!
