  1. Thanks for the mini-French lesson !! Now for the literal use of the word: years ago when I was attending a small girl’s school in Nancy, we prepared beef heart stuffed with herbs and I know not what else. It was delicious! Of course we had wine with the meal we had prepared and then it was time for kitchen clean-up with “savon noir”. Not being used to drinking wine, I was still a little tipsy as I walked back to the home where I was graciously allowed to live on the third floor……a wonderful time of my life.
